Derrith “Dee” Marilyn (Snyder)Tichenor, of Fishers, Indiana passed away March 24, 2016.  She was born October 3, 1930 to Roy and Reathel McCarty Snyder.

Dee graduated from Mt. Auburn High School and married John Tichenor who proceeded her death June 7, 2000. She was employed by the Department of Army for 37 years retiring in 1988. She served as the housing officer at Fort Benjamin Harrison.

Dee was a member of St. Matthews Episcopal Church, Women of the Moose Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, Professional Housing Managers Association and served as a volunteer at the Indiana Heart Hospital.

A Visitation will be Monday, March 28, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and a Funeral Service on Tuesday March 29, at 1:00 p.m. with calling at noon to 1:00 PM at Indiana Funeral Care (Harry W. Moore Chapel).  8151 Allisonville Road; Indianapolis, IN 46250.

Survivors include son, Kris (Karen) Conover, daughter Deidre “Dee” (Charles) Truax, Stepdaughter Lori Maudlin, Step Sons Rick Tichenor, John Tichenor Jr.  And a step sister Bonnie Stickley. She had 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Dee was preceded in death by her husband John, parents, step daughter Mona Abney and granddaughter Stephanie Conover.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or Breast Cancer Association.
